The Design of a Small-Scale Digital Optical Pumping Magnetometer

Abstract
A small-scale digital Optical Pumping Magnetometer is designed for the occasions where the space is limited, such as the UAV magnetic airborne detection. The frontend in the system uses discrete modified VCO to carry out Lamer frequency tracking, and the end utilizes high speed CPLD and ARM embedded processor to realizes frequency measurement,deduce,display and storage. Meanwhile,this tracking system takes advantage of the redundant resources of the central controller to perform the auxiliary catching function. The compact CPLD and ARM embedded processor reduces complexity, power consumption and size of the equipment. Furthermore, building the VCO module using cheap discrete components lowers the cost consequently. The experiments show the measurement precision is about 0.01 nT,the catching time after booting and lost is less than 5 s. The total performances excel similar products.关键词
