摘要

Abstract

We present a facile method to integrate NaYF4: Yb, Er upconversion nanoparticles with Au nanoparticles for constructing NaYF4: Yb, Er@ SiO2 @ Au composite nanostructures, in which a silica layer on NaYF4: Yb, Er nanoparticles to make them water-stable and acts as an interface for Au decoration. The green and red emissions of the upconversion nanoparticles can be conveniently adjusted by altering the amount of surrounding Au nanoparticles. These results are positive for the widely exploring applications of upconversion nanoparticles in biological imaging, detection, and sensing.
