Genetic analysis on growth of nested mating superior clones of Pinus massoniana
摘要
Abstract
Male and female parents effects, additive effect and dominant effect of growth traits and wood basic density were investigated in a progeny text forest of 8-year-old Pinus massoniana with nested mating design in Zhangping Wuyi National Forest Farm of Fujian. The results showed that, there were significant differences among different families and male parent in agronomic characters; female/male parents existed significant differences in DBH and stem volume. Male and female parent effects all worked on DBH and individual volume, but there was little difference between the parents' effect. For wood basic density, female parent effect of 8-year-old progeny was 19.41 times as large as male parents. Ten superior families and 14 superior individuals for pulp wood were selected based on the production of dry wood in individual. Eight superior families and 4 superior individuals for saw timber were selected based on DBH, wood basic density and stem straightness.关键词
