Analysis of oral health recognition and behavior in different economy level areas

Abstract
Objective To analysis the resident' s oral health recognition and behavior and to provide the scientific foundation for oral health care and education. Methods Cluster sampling was used in survey of oral health recognition and behavior on 1 178 community residents. Results Routine oral health behavior; tooth - brushing time and brush changing frequency in undeveloped economy area are better than developed economy area. In general, the accuracy of the brush method is not high, as well as the temperature of brush water and the regular oral heath check. The trend of chewing-side which undeveloped economy area was higher than in developed economy area and as for the trend chewing hard preference, developed economy area was higher than undeveloped economy area. Oral health knowledge cognition; developed economy area was better than undeveloped economy area. Oral health seeking behavior; developed economy area residents choose regular dental clinic more, however undeveloped economy area residents choose small dentist' s office more; the rate of hospitalization on toothache was notably higher in developed economy area than in undeveloped economy area. Conclusion The community residents' oral health knowledge is generally poor, but the female are better than the male, the high economic level region is better than the lower level. It is rather necessary to reinforce oral health education and improve oral health acts.关键词
