Abstract
Objective To investigate the significance of serum CA125, CA153, CA72 -4 and CEA in the diagnosis of ovarian carcinoma. Methods The serum CA125, CA153, and CA72 - 4 of 242 cases suspected ovarian carcinoma and 40 healthy controls were detected by electrochemical luminescence immunoassay, so was the CEA by enzyme -linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). The correlation between the CA125, CA153, CA72 -4 or CEA and the clinical slage or pathological type was analysed. Results The sensitivity of combined examination of serum CA125, CA153, CA72 - 4 and CEA was significantly higher than individual detection (85. 19% ). In the early stage of ovarian carcinoma (Ⅰ and Ⅱ) , there was significant difference in CA125 between ovarian carcinoma patients and controls (P 〈0. 05) , with no significant difference in the other indexes ( P 〉 0. 05). In the Ⅲ and Ⅳ stage of ovarian carcinoma, there were significant differences in all ihe 4 indexes between ovarian carcinoma patients and controls ( P 〈 0. 05 ). The positive rate of CA125 was significantly higher in serous tumor than in mucinous tumor, though it was converse of CA72 -4, but not of CA153 or CEA. Conclusion CA125 is a good tumor marker for ovarian carcinoma. But in diagnosis of ovarian carcinoma, especially for the early stage and different pathological type of ovarian carcinoma, the combined examination is recommended.关键词
