Budesonide combined with azithromycin in treatment of mycoplasmal pneumonia in children

Abstract
Objective To explore and evaluate the clinical curative effect of budesonide combined with azithromycin in the treatment of pediatric mycoplasmal pneumonia. Methods Totally 76 cases of pediatric mycoplasmal pneumonia were randomly divided into two groups, control group ( n = 37 ) using azithromycin sequential therapy and observation group ( n = 39 ) treated with budesonide combined with azithromycin. Three weeks after treatment the clinical efficacy of two groups was evaluated. Results The effective rate of the control group was 81. 1% , and that of observation group was 92. 3% . There was significant difference between two groups (χ2 =5. 487,P <0.05 ). The defervescence time, time for disappearance of cough, time for disappearance of rales, recovery time of chest radiograph and hospitalization stay of observation group was shorter than that of control group, and the differences were significant ( t value was 12. 652, 8. 503 , 6. 214, 10.266 and 10. 546, respectively, all P < 0. 05 ). The incidence of adverse reactioins was significantly higher in control group (χ2 = 8. 221, P < 0.05 ). Conclusion Budesonide combined with azithromycin in treatment of pediatric mycoplasmal pneumonia can realize the synergism of two drugs. The efficacy of the method is definite. The cough induced by pediatric mycoplasm can be relieved effectively, and average hospitalization time can be shortened significantly. It is worthy of promotion.关键词
