EFFECT OF SEVOFLURANE PRECONDITIONING ON TNF-α AND IL-1β EXPRESSION IN RATS DURING LIVER ISCHEMIA-REPERFUSION INJURY

Abstract
Objective: To investigate the effect of TNF-α and IL-1β on hepatic ischemia-reperfusion (IR) injury after sevoflurane preconditioning. Methods: Forty male adult SD rats were randomly divided into ischemia-reperfusion (IR) and sevoflurane ischemia-reperfusion (Sev) groups ( n = 20 for each). The animals were killed after hepatic IR injury. Serum ALT, AST, LDH, TNF-α and IL-1β were detected as liver damage markers. The histopathological changes of the liver were also observed. Results: ALT, AST and LDH were significantly inhihited in Sev ( P <0. 05). The injury score of the liver and the levels of IL-1β were lower in Sev than in IR groups ( P <0. 05). Conclusion: Sevoflurane preconditioning inhibits hepatic expression of IL-1β after IR injury. Sevoflurane preconditioning may have protective effect on hepatic IR injury through the inhibition of inflammatory cytokines.关键词
