Abstract
The surface of resin-derived activated carbon spheres(RCS) was modified using nitric acid as oxidant. The factors affecting the adsorption of dibenthiophene(DBT) from oil on the modified RCS were studied. The modified RCS and non modified RCS were characterized by N2 adsorption, Beohm titration and DTG. The economic and effective process conditions for RCS modification are as follows: nitric acid concentration 10 mol/L, oxidation temperature 60 ℃, oxidation time 3 h. The specific surface area and the total pore volume of the modified RCS are both decreased. The content of acid groups on the modified RCS surface is increased from 0.83 mmol/g to 3.85 mmol/g. The adsorption isotherms of DBT on the modified RCS and non modified RCS are both fitted well with Freundlich model.关键词
