摘要

Abstract

Based on the key dynamic characteristics of multi-span continuous bridges, using the relative displacement method and random vibration theory, the maximum relative vibration displacement of pier and beam was derived under the excitation of traveling waves. Using seismic response spectrum, a design method of the required seating length for multi-span continuous bridges considering traveling wave effects was put forward. Analyzing an example of multi-span continuous bridges, the engineering application of the design method of the required seating length is demonstrated, and the proposed design method is verified by the results of nonlinear time history analysis.
