摘要

Abstract

The encoding time of traditional fractal image coding method is too long. Aiming at this problem, this paper proposes a novel image coding method based on dictionary. The Julia sets can produce abundant images with fewer parameters. Therefore they are utilized to produce the coding dictionary and each image can find the suitable domain block in the dictionary. Experimental results show that the method can improve the coding efficiency significantly in the premise of not reducing the coding quality obviously, especially for the large images.
