Abstract

According to the physical and mechanical parameters from laboratory experiments and the grains section scanning, micro-geometric model and micro-mechanical parameters of migmatitic granite grains were built based on particle flow theory and PFC programs. Loading codes were developed, and some functions were adjusted by Fish language to simulate uniaxial and triaxial compression experiments. Based on comprehensive comparison and analysis of stress-strain curves, acoustic emission and "Crack" monitoring results from laboratory and PFC numerical simulation, the micro-mechanical characteristics and the cracks revolution laws from microcosm to macrocosm of migmatitic granite from -45 m level of Xingshan Iron Mine were obtained under different loading conditions. According to the comparison of simulation results of rock uniaxial compression and triaxial compression at different confining pressures with laboratory experiments, PFC can accurately simulate the micro-mechanical characteristics and kinematic behaviors of rock grains under different loading conditions.
