摘要

Abstract

Hormesis, a phenomenon characterized by a low dose stimulation and high dose inhibition, is a hot research area. Effect of the antioxidant enzyme activity and the pest-controlling efficacy of the low dose of imidacloprid on Harmonia axyridis were studied. Result indicated that the amount of ladybird predation and relative activity increased significantly, and enhanced the pest-controlling efficacy of H. axyridis. At the treatment of the low dose imidacloprid (0. 01, 0. 1, 0. 2, 1 mg · kg-1). The hormetic effect of imidacloprid on the amount of predation of H. axyridis was induced at the 48 hour (h) after treatment. Result from activity of the antioxidant enzyme showed that there were not significant difference between the treatment and control (CK) about the activities of SOD and GSH-Px. But, the activity of CAT decreased at 24 and 72 h after treatment. Result from this study is helpful to understand the mechanism of Hormesis, and the integrated pest management.
