摘要

Abstract

The non-woven fabric bands with Beauveria bassiana was applied to test the control effect on Hylobitelus xiaoi Zhang in the slash pine forest plots in 2010 and 2011. The test results indicated that the pine weevil populations decreased by 47. 5% in 2010 and 64. 0% in 2011 while the populations in the CK increased by 7.02% and 4. 92% , and that the control effects were 51. 0% and 65. 7% , respectively. Pitfall traps were employed to monitoring the H. xiaoi adults in the field. The percent rates of weevils trapped in the plots to those in the CK were 52. 5% in 2010 and 49. 1% in 2011. And infection rates of the adults trapped in the 2 years were 74. 6% and 78. 2% , respectively. Therefore it is reasonable to conclude that using non-woven fabric bands with B. bassiana against H. xiaoi is considerably effective to reduce the weevil abundance.
