Genetic Mapping and Preliminary Analysis of SSR Marker for Powdery Mildew Resistance in Strawberry

Abstract
Highly - resistant and highly - susceptible strawberry cultivars and their hybrid progenies were evaluated by phenotype observation in the field and in greenhouse. One hundred and forty - six pairs of SSR ( Simple sequence repeat) markers were tested to construct a molecular genetic linkage map containing two linkage groups and seven SSR markers based on a strawberry population consisting of 220 F2 individuals from the hybridization between Darselect (susceptible) and Sweet Charlie (resistant) , covering the two linkage group with an average interval length of 8. 85 cM. FSS50 and FSS121 were closely linked with resistant genes for strawberry powdery mildew based on the preliminary genetic analysis of SSR markers, with 1. 3 cM and 3. 3 cM genetic distance, respectively. They could be applied to the practice of powdery mildew resistant germplasm assisted selection breeding in theory.关键词
