摘要

Abstract

A new type of composite shear wall-steel tube confined high strength concrete shear wall (STCHSCW) was presented. The axial compression tests of 20 specimens were conducted to observe the failure mechanism and force mechanism, and to study the affecting factors of concrete strength, content of CCST, longitudinal reinforcement, stirrup ratio and slenderness ratio of the shear walls. The test results show that the high strength concrete confined by steel tube and the reinforced concrete outside the steel tube could work together well in elastic stage. C80 ~ C100 high strength concrete could be used since the effective confinement of the steel tube and STCHSCW have higher axial compression bearing capacity. Stirrup ratio of the volume of concrete is directly related to the degree of steel tube confining effect. The shear wall will still be able to retainhigh and stable residual carrying capacity even if the concrete outside steel tube is damaged. At the same time, the nonlinear FEM analysis of specimens' models by ABAQUS were introduced,which match well with the experimental results. Based on the statistical analysis of the test results, practical formulas for axial compression bearing capacity of steel tube confined high strength concrete shear wall are also proposed in this paper. They are available for practical engineering application use purposes.
