龈下刮治配合补肾固齿丸治疗中、重度牙周炎的短期疗效评价
Efficacy evaluation of subgingival scaling with Bushenguchiwan in short-term treatment of moderate to severe periodontitis.

Abstract
Objective: To evaluate the effect of subgingival scaling with Bushenguchiwan on short-term treatment of moderate to severe periodontitis. Method:44 moderate to severe periodontitis patients were enrolled into this trial;whom were randomly divided into two groups; 23 in the experimental group and 21 in the control group. Each patient with 2 index teeth were selected. Every patient in this study was given periodontal initial therapy, including supragingival scaling and sub- gingival scaling. After that, patients in the experimental group took 4 g Bushenguchiwan orally twice a day for 3 months. Bleeding on probing (BOP) , probing depth (PD) , attachment loss (AL) and mean grey values (MGVs) of the alveolar bone of all teeth which were selected were measured before and after treatment. Result: After 3 months treatment, the ratio of BOP (+) , PD and AL in the experimental group were decreased significantly (P <0.05) , while MGVs were significantly increased (P <0.05). The ratio of BOP (+) and PD in the control group showed the same change as in the experimental group. However; AL and MGVs in the control group showed positive change (P >0.05). The total efficacy ratio of the experimental group was higher than that of the control group, with significantly difference (P <0.05). Conclusion: The effect of subgingival scaling with Bushenguchiwan on short-term treatment of moderate to severe periodontitis is obviously superior to simple scaling. The effect may be associated with Bushenguchiwan which could promote alveolar bone formation and decrease AL.关键词
