摘要

Abstract

A new internal mixing air-assisted atomizer nozzle was measured and studied. The main purpose is to investigate the potential of mixing-enhancing techniques in different types of air-assisted atomizer nozzle. Four sets of different structure internal mixing fan-shaped nozzles were used in this experiment. By using Malvern laser particle size analyzer, the atomization performance parameters such as SMD and spray angle were measured under different conditions by changing the air pressure and liquid flux. The results show that SMD significantly decreased as the air pressure increased and became stable when arriving the minimum at 0. 8MPa, spray cone angle was increased, and then decreased as the air pressure decreased; SMD significantly decreased as the liquid flux decreased, spray cone angle was increased as the liquid flux increased. Comparing the four kinds of nozzles, # 1-2 was the best atomization nozzle which has the minimum SMD( 16μm) when the air pressure is 0. 8MPa and the liquid flux is 20L/h.
