Influence of problem-based learning on the critical thinking of nursing undergraduates

Abstract
Objective To investigate the influence of problem-based learning (PBL) on the critical thinking skills of nursing undergraduates, and to analyze the related factors. Methods A total of 82 nursing undergraduates in our school were selected. Critical Thinking Disposition Inventory-Chinese Version (CTDI-CV) and self-designed questionnaire on nursing undergraduate enthusiasm for participation in PBL were used. Results The analytical skills and critical thinking self - confidence of nursing undergraduates were significantly improved ( P <0.05). There were significant differences in the scores of inquisitiveness among nursing undergraduates with different time being spent on preparing cases (P <0. 05 ). And there were significant differences in the scores of truth-seeking among nursing undergraduates with different expressing frequencies in class ( P <0. 05 ) . Conclu-.sion The teachers should encourage nursing undergraduates to fully prepare cases and express themselves freely in discussion in PBL so as to improve their critical thinking skills.关键词
