摘要

Abstract

A rare-earth PVC thermal stabilizer-La/Ce cyanurate was prepared from cyanuric acid, sodium hydroxide, nitric acid and La/Ce rare-earth primary separating from Baotou rare-earth mine. The effects of La/Ce cyanurate served as thermal stabilizer on PVC stability and discoloration were studied and compared with other stabilizers by Congo-red test paper. The results show that the La-Ce cyanurate has favorable stabilization efficiency similar to lanthanum stearate (slightly worse than lanthanum cyanurate), and can be used as single stabilizer in PVC, therefore, the extra cost which coming from the separation of La-Ce rare-earth can be saved.
