Abstract
Polypropylene was modified in terms of flame retardant and toughening by melt compounding process. Using intumescent flame retardant(ammonium polyphosphate(APP) and pentaerythritol (PER)) as main flame retardant in PP, the effects of zeolite 4A on mechanical properties, flame retardant property, and rheological properties of flame-retardant PP were researched; when adding ethylene propylene diene monomer (EPDM) into flame-retardant PP, the effects of EPDM on the mechanical properties and flame retardant properties of PP were investigated. The results show that: when the dosage of zeolite 4A is 2% and the dosage of EPDM is 6%, the comprehensive properties of flame retardant system are optimal.关键词
