Abstract
Objective: To investigate the status of quality of life of direct relatives as home dementia patients' caregivers and to analyze influencing factors. Methods: A total of 65 direct relatives as dementia patients'caregivers were selected who cared the dementia patients continuously for more than two months, and they were investigated with Simple Health Survey Scale,Zarit Caregiver Burden Interview (ZBI), Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support (MSPSS) and Simplified Coping Style Question-naire(SCSQ) and to analyze the influencing factors of their quality of life. Results;The scores of 7 fields (physical functioning,role - physical,bodily pain,general health,vitality,role - emotional,mental health) of direct relatives were significantly lower than the norm in China. Prevalence,kinship, friend support,negative coping,care burden were the main influencing factors. Conclusion;The quality of life of direct relatives as dementia patients' caregivers is poor,and interventions should be strengthened for direct relatives with heavy burden of care, negative cope and poor social support, in order to improve their quality of life.关键词
