Abstract
Objective To analyse the risk factors and survival of non-small cell lung cancer with brain metastasis. Methods One hundred and fifty cases of pathologically confirmed Ⅱ A ~ Ⅳ stage patients with non-small cell lung cancer,including 100 cases of brain metastasis and 50 of non-brain metastasis,were retrospectively analysed. Differences of clinical features and tumor characteristics were compared between the two groups. Results (1) The univariate analysis found that younger patients, non-squamous cell carcinoma,central lung cancer,with lymph node metastasis,intrapulmonary spread, with other parts of the transfer and untreated non-small cell lung cancer were possible risk factors of brain metastasis. Multivariate analysis found that age and pathological type of non-small cell lung cancer were risk factors of brain metastasis. ( 2 ) Gender, nation and location around the pulmonary lesion in non-small cell lung cancer were the risk factors of brain metastasis. (3)The median survival time of brain metastasis group [ (6. 661 ±0. 573) months] ,was lower than that of non-brain metastasis group [ ( 13. 318 ± 0. 966) months] . The 6-month, 12-month survival rates of brain metastasis group and non-brain metastasis group were 32. 0% , 14. 7% , and 80. 6% , 62. 4% , respectivly ( P = 0. 000 ). Conclusions Age <60 years,non-squamous cell carcinoma are the risk factors of non-small cell lung cancer with brain metastases. Central lung cancer, pulmonary metastasis, lymph node metastasis, other parts of distant metastasis and untreated non-small cell lung cancer patients may be the possible risk factors for brain metastasis. The occurrence of brain metastasis may influence the prognosis of patients with non-small cell lung cancer.关键词
