摘要

Abstract

Most of current communication sub-systems of wireless CBTC (Communication-based Train Control) systems are based on the FAT AP architecture. In such an architecture, AP must perform all tasks related to access and usage, and AP is isolated from each other. Accordingly, the communication channel of this architecture is not utilized efficiently. This paper introduces FIT AP and Wireless Access Controller, which optimize CBTC system architecture and reduce the communication load of AP. Further, a faster handoff method between train communication terminal and different AP is proposed. This method effectively reduces the AP handoff delay, shortens the dead zone the train passing through, and improves traffic safety. The simulation results show that the proposed method is effective and feasible.
