摘要

Abstract

Objective To observe the expressions of hypoxia-inducible factor-1α (HIF-1α) and erythropoietin (EPO) in the kidney of diabetic rats and discuss the relationship of HIF-1α and EPO with diabetic nephropathy (DN). Methods Totally 50 SD rats were randomly divided into normal control group (NO and DN group. Diabetic rat model was induced with streptozotocin (STZ) in DN group. The kidney tissues were obtained 4 and 8 weeks after the model had been completed. The expressions of HIF-1α and EPO in kidney tissues of diabetic rats were detected by immunohistochemical method and automatic image analysis system. Results HIF-1α and EPO were expressed in the glomeruli and tubules of diabetic rats. As the time of film making extended, the expressions of HIF-1α and EPO increased gradually. Conclusion Microcirculatory disturbances can lead to tissue hypoxia on DN, thus up-regulating the expressions of HIF-1α and EPO. The expressions of HIF-1α and EPO can cause capillary anomalism and new blood vessel formation in DN, which may lead to the occurrence and development of DN.
