摘要

Abstract

This paper presents a new design of multi-channel digital phase demodulator, which is used for positioning vehi-cles by radio signals in electronic toll collection (ETC) application. The module has five receivable channels with nine antennas. Phase differences between the antennas are measured accurately to pick out the car's location and direction information. The change of phase differences produced by environment can be calibrated by the inner calibration circuit. The result of max phase difference is less than 5° and max amplitude difference is less than 1 dB. After calibration, phase difference between outer and inner is less than 2°. The multi-channel phase demodulator is first applied in inland ETC system. The precision of positioning ve-hicles is less than 1 meter.
