Abstract

In order to enhance the heat-transfer capability of the water-cooled radiator and ensure its reliability, the basic principle and formula of the heat transfer theory was employed. Taking the radiator dimension, water conductivity and water con-vective heat-transfer coefficient as parameters, the calculation formula of the water cooled thermal resistance of radiator was de-rived. In order to the practical applications of the radiator, a software to draw the curve and calculate the thermal resistance was developed. It can not only display various kinds of curves that thermal resistance changes with the parameters, but also can di-rectly show the calculation result of thermal resistance. With these functions, the parameter optimizing design method which is of good directive significance can be widely used in engineering projects.
