Abstract
A comparative analysis of the characteristics of several conventional horn antenna is made on the basis of Huygens principle, and the design principle of pyramidal horn antenna is studied. According to the actual situation of measuring iron ore concentrate moisture content based on microwave technique, the paper gives a description of the structure of pyramidal horn an-tenna whose center frequency is 9.4 GHz and associated gain is more than 10 dB. The antenna is simulated and optimized by HFSS. The simulation results verify the feasibility of the designed antenna through its radiation characteristics, such as voltage standing wave ratio, gain and radiation patterns, etc, which serve as a reference for later test and operation.关键词
