Photosynthetic-Light Response and CO2 Response and Differences in Some Leaf Characteristics of Five Plum Cultivars

Abstract
[Objective] This project aims to provide a theoretical basis for the introduction and high quality - yield cultivation management of five plum cultivars by comparing their photosynthetic response to light (Pn - PFD) and to CO2 and some characteristics of leaves. [ Method ] By using Li - 6400 portable photosynthesis system, CI -203 hand - held laser leaf area meter and electronic vernier caliper, some indexes of five plum cultivars were measured and the generality and individuality of photosynthetic characteristics and leaf characteristics of those were discussed. [Result] When the five plum cultivars were compared, Lanmi expressed highest light saturation point (LSP) , the maximum photosynthetic rate (Pn) and apparent quantum yield (AQY) , and its light compensation point (LCP) was the lowest among those five cultivars. Their values were 1 124,19. 503, 0. 051 9, 21 μmol/(m2·s) , respectively; but the LSP, Pnand AQY of Great Rosa were the lowest. To compare each other on characteristic value of Pn - CO2 response curve of the five plum cultivars, the CO2 saturation point ( CSP) and compensation point ( CCP) of Great Rosa were remarkable higher than those of other cultivars, but the lowest RuBP carboxylation efficiency (CE) appeared; the CSP value and maximum Pn of French were the lowest of the five plum cultivars, but its CCP value was the highest. Record and Great Rosa had a significantly larger leaves and lower total chlorophyll content of leaves compared with other five plum cultivars; among these five plum cultivars, Usa has the largest specific leaf weight, Flanxi and Record were the lowest. [ Conclusion ] Comprehensive analysis showed that Lanmi and Usa have the higher light use efficiency compared with other three plum cultivars, among which Lanmi showed the best photosynthetic productivity if it grows under highlight area; but Usa is a more suitable cultivar for close planting, high -yield and high -quality cultivation pattern.e关键词
