摘要

Abstract

The fundamental thought and technical characteristics of EN 13445 are briefly introduced on fatigue assessment of pressure vessels. Some issues about fatigue assessment are discussed which include the design of an iterative program, the adoption of corrosion allowance and the assessment method of forgings. A stress analysis on a dewatering air pressure tank is carried out and based on which, the fatigue performance of the tank is then assessed as per EN 13445. A great difference is found after comparing the allowable cycles resulting from JB 4732 and EN 13445 respectively, and the fundamental reason causing the difference is then discussed.
