Effects of Different Nutritional Regulation Additives on Fattening and Slaughter Performance of Holstein Bulls

Abstract
60 similar weight Holstein male calves were selected and randomly divided into 3 groups (n=20). The control group was fed the basal diet, while group A and group B were fed the diets added with the nutritional regulation additive A and B, the dose of 5 g/(d·calf),to the basal diet, respectively. The results showed that the average daily gains of group A and group B were 1.65 kg and 1.50 kg, respectively, increased by 0.28 kg (P<0.05) and 0.13 kg( P>0.05 ) compared with the control; the slaughter rates were higher in the experimental groups, but the differences were not significant (P>0.05); the lean percentage and meat bones ratio were higher significantly (P<0.05) compared with the control; the average daily incomes of group A and B were 5.02 and 2.73 yuan (RMB) respectively,increased by 4.06 yuan(RMB),and 1.77 yuan(RMB),compared with the control group. The results indicated that the nutritional regulation additive A could improve the growth performance, slaughter performance and economic efficiency of Holstein male calves.关键词
