Constrained Infinite-time Receding Horizon Predictive Control Based on Laguerre Model and Its Application to Thermal Process

Abstract
In the design of traditional model predictive controller, the future control signal is obtained based on the forward shift operator. However, when it comes to rapid sampling, complicated process dynamics or high demands on closed-loop performance, it needs numbers of forward shift operators to get a better result of the control signal which leads to plenty of optimized variables and heavy computational burden when implemented on-line. The constrained infinite-time receding horizon predictive control based on laguerre model (CIRHPCL) was proposed by using Laguerre function. The shortcomings above can be overcome; meanwhile, the number of optimized variables is reduced that results in small computational load. Good control performance and system stability can be obtained by using the infinite-time performance index, furthermore, the CIRHPCL proposed is very easily tuned because of a small number of adjustable parameters.关键词
