Effects of Angiotensin Ⅱ and Oxidized Low Density Lipoprotein on Smurf2 and Collagen Ⅰ Expression in Cultured Rat Vascular Smooth Muscle Cells

Abstract
Aim To investigate angiotensin Ⅱ (Ang Ⅱ ) and oxidized low density lipoprotein (ox-LDL) regulating the expression of Smurf2 and collagen Ⅰ in cultured rat vascular smooth muscle cells ( VSMC ). Methods The mRNA expression was tested by RT-PCR. The protein expression was examined by Western blot. The protein expression of collagen Ⅰ was examined by ELISA. Results Compared with control group, Ang Ⅱ decreased SmurC expression ( P < 0. 05) and enhanced collagen Ⅰ expression ( P < 0. 05 ) , ox-LDL enhanced Smurf2 expression ( P < 0. 01 ) and decreased collagen I expression ( P < 0. 05 ). Ox-LDL concentration-dependently induced Ang Ⅱ -decreased SmurO expression (P < 0. 05 ) and collagen I concentration. Conclusion Ang Ⅱ decreased SmurO expression in cultured VSMC. Ang Ⅱ may inhibit SmurG expression to improve collagen Ⅰ production. ox-LDL enhanced Smurf2 expression. ox-LDL may improve the expression of SmurC to suppress the production of collagen Ⅰ . ox-LDL concentration-dependently induced Ang Ⅱ -decreased SmurG expression, while decreased collagen Ⅰ expression.lagen Ⅰ productio关键词
