Constitutive Model of Stainless Steel 0Cr18Ni9 and Its Influence on Cutting Force Prediction

Abstract
The static and dynamic mechanical properties of stainless steel 0Crl8Ni9, with solution heat treatment under temperature 1100C, were analyzed herein, through experiments with material testing system(MTS) and split Hopkinson pressure bar(SHPB) apparatus. On the basis of the above work,the constitutive relations of the material were built using Johnson - Cook constitutive model. In addition,the material parameters of the model were observed by using the orthogonal experimental design. The two sets of the material parameters obtained from SHPB and cutting test were applied to predict cutting force under various machining conditions, and their applicability was compared. The comparison results provide the reference for the analysis model in stainless steel cutting research as well as the selection of material flow stress model during numerical computation.关键词
