Abstract
Objective To evaluate the efficacy and safety of Brucea Javanica Oil Emulsion ( BJO) combined with chemotherapy for non - small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) compared with NP( vinorelbine plus cisplatin) /GP(gemcitabine plus cisplatin) regimen chemotherapy alone. Methods A comprehensive search strategy was designed to identify all randomized controlled trials (RCTs) comparing BJO plus NP/GP chemotherapy with NP/GP chemotherapy alone by searching database. The Meta analysis was performed by RevMan 5. 0. Results Nine studies were included (n=714). The analysis indicated that there were no significant differences in tumor remission between BJO combined with chemotherapy and the control group. However, BJO combined with chemotherapy significantly improved the disease control rate ( P = 0. 004 ) , and dramatically decreased myelosuppression due to chemotherapy ( P < 0. 00001 ) . Conclusion Base on the results of Meta - analysis, BJO has positive effect on chemotherapy in patients with NSCLC in total disease control rate, decreased chemotherapy - related side effect.关键词
