Abstract
AIM To evaluate the perioperative prophylactic application of antibacterial drugs in type Ⅰ incision operation. METHODS By retrospective analysis, the hospitalization time, medication duration, category of drugs and drug expenditure of patients underwent type Ⅰ incision operation in breast thyroid surgery and orthopedic department in July - December 2010 were analyzed statistically. RESULTS Of total 180 cases, prophylactic application of antibacterial drugs accounted for 100% with total times of drug use of 211. The average frequency of application of antibacterial drugs was 1.17 times. Forty-six cases initially received antibacterial drugs in 2 h before operation (25.56%). Mean medication duration was 7.33 d. The longest one was 17 d and the shortest one was 1 d. A total of 7 categories and 14 kinds of antibacterial drugs were used in type Ⅰ incision operation. The first 3 drugs in the list of frequency were cefoti-am(61 times) , cefodizime(30 times) and ceftezole(27 times) .A total of 159 cases received a single kind of antibacterial drugs(88.33%) and 21 cases received combination of antibacterial drugs(11.67%). CONCLUSION Inappropriate use of perioperative prophylactic antibacterial drugs in type Ⅰ incision operation is common, thus it is necessary to strengthen clinician's training on knowledge of the rational use of antibacterial drugs and supervision on the use of antibacterial drugs.关键词
