Abstract
Objective Our retrospective study was aimed to determine the role of C-reactive protein in the differential diagnosis of acute mesenteric lymphadenitis and acute appendicitis in children in emergency. Methods Clinical data of patients who were diagnosed as appendicitis or mesenteric lymphadenitis from 2002 to 2012 was retrospectively analyzed. Results We found the acute appendicitis patients had a significant higher value of CRP than the patients who were diagnosed as acute mesenteric lymphadenitis (17.3±10.4mg/L versus 6.4±2.8mg/L; P<0.01). Conclusion C-reactive protein play a very important role in the differential diagnosis of acute mesenteric lymphadenitis and acute appendicitis in children in emergency.关键词
