Abstract
Objective To analyze the clinic efficacy of interferon therapy and gamma globulin therapy in the treatment of viral encephalitis caused by hand - foot - mouth disease ( HFMD ) . Methods 160 patients with HFMD combined with viral encephalitis admitted to our hospital from January 2010 to January 2012 were randomly divided into control group ( 54 cases ), gamma globulin group ( 53 cases ) and interferon group ( 53 cases ) . All the three groups were given routine nursing and treatment. Besides, the gamma globulin group was given 400 mg · kg-1 · d-1 gamma globulin for five consecutive days, while the interferon group was given intramuscular injection of a - 1 b 6 - 106 μg/d once a day for three days. The clinical efficacy and time of improvement in the three groups were observed. Results After treatment, for the control group, 45 cases were improved and 9 cases were invalid; for gamma globulin group, 50 cases were improved and 3 cases were invalid; for the interferon group, 48
cases were improved and 5 cases were invalid. The difference of effective rate between the three groups was statistically significant (X2 =44.57, P = 0. 00) . Compared with the control group, the effective rates in the gamma globulin group and interferon group were significantly higher ( X2 = 11. 02 , P = 0.00; X2= 11.7, P =0.00 ) . The difference of effective rate between gamma globulin group and interferon group was not statistically significant ( X2 = 0. 54, P = 0. 46 ) . The fever process, rash disappearing time, time for nervous system pathological symptoms turning negative and time of normal white blood cell counts in cerebrospinal fluid between the three groups all showed statistically significant differences ( P <0. 05 ) . Compared with the control group, the above items in gamma globulin group and interferon group both showed statistically significant difference ( P < 0. 05 ), but gamma globulin group and interferon group showed no statistically significant difference ( P > 0. 05 ) . Conclusion The treatment by u-sing interferon or gamma globulin may improve the clinic efficacy and shorten the duration of HFMD combined with viral encephalitis.关键词
