药物治疗癫痫患儿284例分析

Abstract
Objective To make a better understanding of current diagnosis and clinical management of childhood epilepsy. Methods The study population consisted of a consecutive series of appropriate children with epilepsy who visited two childhood epilepsy specialist clinics in Xi' an during 6 months. Data collected with self-designed questionnaire were registered into Microsoft Office Excel 2003 database, and then were performed statistical process and description. Results A total of 284 cases of active epilepsies were collected.A majority of the patients, 188 cases (66.2%) ,were treated with monotherapy,73 patients(25.7%) were using two kinds of antiepileptic drugs, and the remained 23 cases(8.1%) were treated with a combination of three or four antiepileptic drugs. The ratio between first generation AEDs and new AE-Ds used in the cohort was 226: 175. Totally 186 cases (65.5% ) had kept seizure free in the 6 months before the follow-up, of which 113 (60.4% ) were male patients, while another 98 cases (34.5% ) relapsed at times, including 60 (62.3%)male patients; there was no definite association between gender and the outcome of AEDs therapy(x2=0.1 ,P> 0.05).Totally 124 (43.7%) of the cohort using monotherapy were in remission for at least 6 months, meanwhile 47 (16.5%) of the cohort using two AEDs and 15(5.3%)using three AEDs also achieved remission. Conclusion About 43.7% of the cases have kept seizure free with monotherapy in the 6 months before the follow-up, another 21.8% succeed with rational polytherapy. There are more children using new antiepileptic drugs than those using traditional antiepileptic drugs.关键词
