Abstract
Objective To evaluate the clinical effect of holmium laser lithotripsy with flexible ureteroscope on the treatment of renal calculi. Methods Totally 65 patients with 75 renal stones were treated by Ho: YAG laser lithotripsy via flexible ureteroscope in our hospital, including 25 upper calyceal stones, 21 middle calyceal stones, 18 lower calyceal stones and 11 renal pelvis stones. The diameter of the stones ranged form 0. 8 to 1. 8cm with a mean of 1. 5 cm. Preoperatively, double-J stents were ind-welled routinely for 2 weeks. After dilation of the ureter, the stones were fragmentized and removed by u-sing 200 μm Ho: YAG laser fiber ( 1. 0 ～ 1. 5 J/5 ～ 10 Hz ) . Results The successful rate of stone search was 93. 3% (70/75 ) . The successful rate of stone fragmentation after single session was 90. 1% (68/75 ). The mean operation time was 45 minutes (ranged from 30 to 60 minutes). And the mean time of post-operative hospital stay was 4 days (ranged from 2 to 7 days). 5 cases were found low back pain combined fever and cured by anti-inflammatory and symptomatic treatment. No ureteral perforation or pyo-nephrosis occurred. 60 cases were followed up for 3 to 15 months with an average of 8 months, and no one was recurrence. Conclusion Ho: YAG laser lithotripsy through flexible ureteroscope is a safe and effective treatment for renal calculi.关键词
