Abstract
OBJECTIVE: To provide reference for the marker of oral solid preparations in the inpatient pharmacy of our hospital. METHODS: The markers of 348 oral solid preparations were classified statistically and the role of markers was summarized. RESULTS: 218 oral solid preparations were not marked; while there were 130 marked oral solid preparations, accounting for 37.36% of total number of drug dispensing. The marked forms of oral solid preparations could be classified into 6 categories: ( I ) brand name of drug was marked; ( II ) common name of drug was marked; ( III) brand name or common name of drug were marked as well as manufacturers; (IV) manufacturers were marked; (V) the contents of main drugs were marked; (VI) unknown sign was marked. The results showed that it was easy to identify and verify that oral solid preparations were marked with name of drug or manufacturers and the contents of main drugs. Some preparations were special-shaped tablets or pills, which could be identified and checked easily without marker. CONCLUSION: Oral solid preparations should be marked with drug name and the contents of main drugs to identify and check easily and guarantee the safety of drug use in patients.关键词
