Application of lidocaine gel for urethral catheterization in patients receiving uterine fibroids by high-intensity focused ultrasound
摘要
Abstract
Objective: To observe the effect of using Lidocaine Gel for urethral catheterization in the patients undergoing uterine fibroids ablation by high-intensity focused ultrasound. Methods: A randomized controlled study in was conducted in 69 patients with uterine fibroids by HIFU therapy. The patients were divided into two groups, the observation group was treated with lidocaine gel infiltrating urethra and lubricating the catheter, and the control group with catheter lubricated by paraffin oil. Results: There was a significant difference in patients, satisfaction of the whole treating processes through analysis of the data. Conclusion: Lidocaine gel is applied for urethral catheterization to the patients undergoing HIFU ablation of uterine fibroids, which can alleviate the discomfort effectively and improve the patient satisfaction of the treatment significantly.关键词
