Constitutive model and finite element simulation of 20CrMo material

Abstract
A Johnson-Cook thermo-viscoplastic constitutive model for 20CrMo material was established. The strain-hardening parameters for the model were obtained on the base of data from quasi static compression force test. And using the Oxley-Welsh cutting theory, the strain rate parameters and thermal softening effect parameters for the model were determined by the analysis of the results from orthogonal cutting experiments. Under the condition of the JC model established and shear failure criterion, the results of cutting temperature and force gotten from orthogonal cutting were analyzed by finite elements simulation. By comparison between simulation results and experimental data. The results show that the maximum relative error is within 20%. The simulation analysis and the constitutive model are reasonable.关键词
