Preparation of Ce-doped TiO2 Nano-films and Its photocatalytic Properties

Abstract
Pure and Ce-doped (1%, 2%, 5%) TiO2 nano-films were prepared on quartz sub- strates by sol-gel process. The structures, morphologies and optical properties were investigated by X-ray diffraetometer, atomic force microscope and UV-vis spectrophotometer. The effect of Ce doping on the photoeatalytic properties of TiO2 nano-films were evaluated with the degradation of methylene blue under UV irradiation. The results showed that doping an appropriate amount of Ce can effectively improve the photocatalytic activity of TiO2, and the nano-film doped with 2% Ce showed the best photocatalytie activity.关键词
