The Registration and Enquiry System of Manuscripts Contributed to Journals: Design and Development in Digital Publishing Setting

Abstract
Every day editorial departments of journals in colleges and universities receive a large number of manuscripts contributed by authors. These manuscripts need to be downloaded from E-mails, registered, classified and printed out, all by hand. And then they are distributed to correspondent editors. Such information as the date of reception, the author's name, the title of article, the way of contact and the editor in charge all need to be manually recorded when there is no digitalized enquiry system. It usually takes editors long time to do the repetitive work. In addition, it is slow to find out the wanted manuscripts and the relevant information of the author. The ASP technology is used to design an enquiry system based on B/S structure to improve the work efficiency and relieve the editors from the boring editing and processing work. This enquiry system can easily register and search for the manuscripts, improve the work efficiency and save paper, which has turned out to be highly recognized by the editors.关键词
