A New Mode of CAT Based on HNC Theory and Automatic Abstract Technology

Abstract
With the hierarchical network concept of HNC Theory, the dilemma of textual understanding can be solved in the computer assisted translation. The automatic abstract technology also helps in the expressing of textual meaning and brings about improvement in the efficiency of translation. By combining the above two and from the starting point of discourse analysis, a new mode of computer assisted translation was explored for the non-restricted domain in the scientific translation. The new mode has proved to be better than both the traditional and pure computer assisted translation modes in terms of both quality and speed.关键词
