Abstract

To solve the complexity and difficulty in construction and realization of the left-handed structure composing of SRRs and Rod, an improving structure named "wang" character structure based on the metal strip was designed, and it was simulated in Ansoft HFSS 10 electromagnetism simulation software. By theoretical analysis and simulation, the parameter results obtained by scattering parameters method indicated that this structure had negative permittivity and permeability in the X-band. The impacts of the size varieties of the metallic slab's width, the center space's width and the center slab's width on resonance frequency and transmission apex amplitude were discussed and analyzed. The results show that the resonance frequency and transmission apex amplitude can be influenced by all of the three parameters. Thereinto, the varieties of metallic slab's width have more obvious effects on transmission apex amplitude, and varieties of the center space's width have more obvious effects on resonance frequency.
