Principal Component Analysis on Yield Traits of New Strains from Different Soybean Hybrids

Abstract
Comprehensive analysis of yield related traits and genetic distances of 13 new soybean strains from different parent combinations was conducted in this study aiming to provide theoretical basis for regional soybean production of varieties update, screening and mating. The relationship between yield related traits, and that between the values of comprehensive principal component and yield was discussed by principal component analysis. According to genetic distances, 13 strains were classified into four categories by cluster analysis, which showed that there was no certain correlation between source of parents and genetic distances. In selection of soybean cultivars, values of principal components should be determined based on breeding goals. On evaluation of genetic distances between varieties, comprehensive assessment should be applied in terms of selective direction of varieties and environmental factors.关键词
