Abstract

The membrane adsorbents are prepared by phase inversion with polyethersulfone (PES) as the membrane matrix material and zeolite 4A with uniform size distribution as functional particles. Effects such as amount of zeolite 4A, temperature, pH and initial concentration of Cu2+ on the adsorption and desorption of membrane adsorbents are studied. The results show that the adsorption capacity of membrane adsorbents increases with the increasing contents of zeolite 4A. And the adsorption capacity of the membrane adsorbents with 60% zeolite 4A loading for Cu2+ is 109.7 mg/g. The desorption studies were carried out, and the results show that the desorption efficiency reaches 98.6% using 0.1 mol/L HC1.
