摘要

Abstract

Objective To perform experimental study of reinforcement and toughening modification of cyanoacrylate(CA) medical adhesive. Methods Multi-wall carbon nanotubes(MWCNTs) and carboxylated multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MW-CNTs-COOH) were used to modify cyanoacrylate(CA) medical adhesive. Then the tensile shear strength(TSS) and glass transition; temperature(Tg) were measured before and after the modification. The destruction of interface adhesion was observed by scanning electron microscopy(SEM).Result8 The TSS of 64 mg/100 g in MWCNTs -COOH/CAseries was the highest, which was higher by 51.5% than the CA. The Tg of MWCNTs-COOH/CA(64 mg/100 g) was the lowest, which was lower by 33.7% than the CA. The TSS of 64 mg/100 g in MWCNTs/CA series was the highest, which was higher by 12.7% than the CA. The Tg of MWCNTs/CA(4 mg/100 g) was the lowest, which was lower by 12.4% than the CA. The TSS of MWCNTs-COOH/CA(64 mg/100 g) was higher than MWCNTs/CA(4 mg/100 g)(P<0.01, t=6). It's found that the tensile fracture of MWNTs-COOH/CA(64 mg/100 g) consisted of many dendritic micro-patterns in SEM. Conclusion Two kinds of carbon nanotubes can effectively improve the tensile strength of the adhesive and its toughness. The TSS of MWCNTs - COOH/CA(64 mg/100 g) is higher than that of MWCNTs/CA(4 mg/100 g)(P<0.01, t =6).
