Abstract

The droop control scheme is an effective scheme for parallel three-phase inverter systems, since it makes sure the system load power is shared by the parallel inverters and has the advantages of wireless distributed control. The finite control set model predictive control (FCS-MPC) is a novel control strategy for three-phase voltage source inverter, which has advantages of fast dynamic response and flexibility to process system constraints. In this paper, the droop control of parallel inverter systems and the model predictive control of three-phase voltage source inverter were combined, and the reference voltage signal of model predictive controller was provided by the droop controller, and the optimization performance function of the model predictive controller was designed by tracking error of the parallel inverter output voltage with the reference voltage, then the wireless model predictive control of a parallel three-phase voltage source inverter system was established. Simulation and experimental results verify that the designed wireless model predictive controller works effectively under the conditions of loading, load changing and one parallel inverter cutting off. And compared with the traditional three-loop cascade controller, the designed control scheme improves the current sharing performance of parallel system markedly in the simulation.
